Purchasing Policy

Our Purchasing Approach

At Lola 38 Hotel, we manage our purchasing processes with a responsible and sustainability-driven approach that supports local development and minimizes environmental impact. By prioritizing local suppliers, we aim to build strong, ethical, and long-term relationships within our region.

When selecting suppliers, production facilities are evaluated on-site and audited at regular intervals to ensure quality standards, environmental responsibility, and legal compliance. Whenever our quality requirements and operational needs are met, priority is given to sourcing from local suppliers.

Supplier selection is based on clearly defined criteria, and an approved supplier list is established accordingly. Approved suppliers are evaluated at least once a year. Local purchasing ratios are regularly monitored, while non-local suppliers are assessed through formal supplier evaluation processes.

To reduce waste generation, the purchase of single-use products is carefully managed, and bulk purchasing practices are encouraged wherever possible.

Purchasing Policy

Lola 38 Hotel adopts the following principles in all purchasing activities:

  • We work exclusively with suppliers who comply with all applicable legal requirements.

  • The purchasing team prioritizes energy-efficient options when procuring equipment, supplies, and services.

  • Products that are energy-efficient, certified, repairable, long-lasting, and made from recycled content are preferred.

  • In cases where certified products or suppliers are not available, local products and local suppliers are prioritized. This approach supports the local economy while helping to reduce CO₂ emissions associated with transportation.

  • Reusable, refillable, recycled-content, plant-based, and water-based products are preferred. For stationery purchases, existing supplies are checked first, and efficient use is encouraged.

  • Furniture and construction materials that are recycled or refurbished, sustainably sourced, locally produced, and environmentally certified are preferred.

  • The purchase of vehicles and equipment that support sustainable transportation and have minimal environmental impact is encouraged.

  • Products derived from endangered plant or animal species are not used, purchased, or sourced through hunting activities under any circumstances.

Through these principles, Lola 38 Hotel views purchasing not merely as a procurement function, but as a meaningful contribution to environmental protection, local communities, and a more sustainable future.
